We're Stepping Outside again – hurrah!

It was such a joy to be back at our Step Outside allotment at Kingston Lacy for the first time this year.

We all got down to business and soon had the beds looking shipshape. Fiona and Kate did a great job planting potatoes and onion sets. Brenda set about weeding, deadheading and transplanting spinach, while Tim and Bryan barrelled compost onto our newly weeded beds. Our hardworking volunteer Fiona helped Anni mesh chard transplants and broad beans… all in all we had a very productive damp day!

We had a visit by Sue and Robert who joined us in the kitchen for well-earned tea and biscuits before having a tour of the allotment. Sue & Robert come to our Jolly Days at the Museum of East Dorset in Wimborne on Thursday afternoons. As soon as the weather improves they are planning to come to the allotment as well.

And finally a mention to our lovely little robin friend who was eying up the worms in our newly dug beds.

If you’d like to join us at the allotment do get in touch.

I’m a web designer and I love creating beautiful, affordable websites that work hard for small businesses. Simply put, a business needs a website to reach more customers. It needs to look good but it also needs to work hard. That’s where I can help, I build cost-effective, good looking websites that are both mobile and google friendly.
